Reading has been successful in its bid to deliver the five new Diplomas from September 2008.
- Construction and the Built Environment
- Engineering
- Information Technology
- Creative and Media
- Society, Health and Development
The Diplomas will be delivered by Thames Valley Univeristy (TVU) and selected schools covering all three levels (Level 1, 2 and 3.)
Central Berkshire Education Business Partnership has a well established database of companies and business people. We have taken on the reponsibility of engaging employers in the Diplomas.
Employer engagement includes:
- Work experience
- Teacher placements
- Visits to schools
- Visits by students to places of work
- Support on Enterprise activities
- Setting challenges/writing projects
- Becoming involved in the schemes of work.
