Reading has been offering and delivering the new Diplomas to young people from September 2008.

• Engineering
• Information Technology
• Creative and Media
• Society, Health and Development
• Hospitality
• Business, Admin and Finance

The Diplomas are delivered by Thames Valley Univeristy (TVU) and selected schools covering all three levels (Level 1, 2 and 3.)

Central Berkshire Education Business Partnership has a well established database of companies and business people. We have taken on the reponsibility of engaging employers in the Diplomas.

Employer engagement includes:

• Work experience
• Teacher placements
• Visits to schools
• Visits by students to places of work
• Support on Enterprise activities
• Setting challenges/writing projects
• Becoming involved in the schemes of work.
